Wild West Concrete Co. can provide multiple colors, textures, and aggregate finishes to heighten the overall appearance of the concrete with incredible durability.
Our exposed aggregate concrete creates an intricate visual effect. The finish helps expose the stones and pebbles embedded in the concrete. This gives a vintage classical tone that is reminiscent of ancient stone structures with the stronger, longer-lasting products we’re capable of producing today.

FAQ FOR
BROOM
TEXTURED
CONCRETE
At Creetec we only use 32 MPA strength concrete with 5%-8% air-entrained mixes from reputable ready-mix companies.
yes, we recommend waiting at least seven days (although, 28 days is very recommended) of cure time after new concrete is placed before vehicles are allowed to drive on it.
Yes, if you're wanting a heavier or lighter broom texture, we can do it for you.
Yes, we only mention the four most popular colors above. If you're wanting a custom color, we can most likely accommodate your request depending on stock.
Our standard slab thickness is a minimum of four inches. Some situations will require us to pour six inches of concrete, and this would be discussed before the project takes place.
We do everything possible by industry standards, to prevent cracks. This includes the proper sub-grade preparation to cutting the control joints in the correct locations. Over time, crack will possibly happen. In the event that a crack is more than 3/8" of an inch, we will come and examine the cracked area/s and either repair or replace the afftect area/s.
On the second day after the pouring of the concrete, you can help reduce the chance of spider cracking by lightly spraying the surface with a garden hose nozzle 3 times a day if you can. Once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening.
The lifespan of concrete will depend on how it is used. Concrete is able to last for 30 years or more in Cranbrook, though heavy traffic and extreme weather conditions may cause cracks and raised slabs to eventually appear. Concrete roads created by the Romans are still in existence at 2,000 years old!
Some factors may cause your concrete to age faster. Using rock salt or deicers with ammonium sulfate or nitrate can cause concrete to weaken prematurely. If you have a commercial parking lot with a lot of delivery trucks coming in day in and day out, you will likely experience issues with the concrete earlier than the concrete sidewalk on the side of your home.
Your new concrete pad will have an efficient amount of slope depending on the type of pad you choose for your broom textured pad. Typically for every 4 feet of concrete, there is a 1/2" to 3/4" slope, again this is dependent on the type of concrete pad you desired.
No, not at all. For all our concrete installments, we only use a minimum of 32 MPA strength concrete mixes from reputable concrete ready mix suppliers.
